POSTGAME NOTES

For the third time this season, Texas Tech went with the starting five of Chrislyn Carr, Jo’Nah Johnson, Sydney Goodson, Lexi Gordon and Brittany Brewer. The Lady Raiders moved to 3-0 this season when deploying this starting five.

Texas Tech outscored TCU, 26-14, in the second quarter to take a 44-30 lead into half. Five Lady Raiders had five or more points in the first half, led by Sydney Goodson and Jo’Nah Johnson with 10.

The Lady Raiders held TCU with no field goals in the final 3:40 of the second quarter.

Five Lady Raiders ended the game in double-figure scoring, led by Jo’Nah Johnson with 20 points to go along with six assists and three rebounds.

Junior Lexi Gordon recorded her second career double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. It marked her career high in rebounds and was her fourth-straight game in double-figure scoring.

Sydney Goodson finished with 15 points and four rebounds in her homecoming game. Goodson hit the go-ahead three pointer late in the fourth to give Tech the lead it wouldn’t give up.

Tech’s 51 rebounds tied a season high.
